Most people I’ve met in the wine industry have a ‘wow’ moment with a certain bottle of wine, the bottle that made them sit up and take notice and think, hang on, I think there’s more to this wine lark than something to get a bit tipsy on! That bottle for me was a Chardonnay from the Martinborough region of New Zealand. I remember it vividly as it just blew my mind with the complexity of flavour. And so my wine journey began…….

I started my career as a law student in Ireland and joined the regulation of healthcare professionals sector when I moved to London. I worked within this industry for almost 10 years and while this was an interesting and varied career, I realised that my real passion lay elsewhere.

Fast forward to present day and I have successfully completed and passed the WSET Level 1 and 2 Awards in Wine and Spirits, with my WSET Level 3 Award in Wines - Distinction result awarded in August 2021. Our most recent qualification is the Italian Wine Scholar (part of the Wine Scholar Guild body) a comprehensive and advanced deep dive into Italian wines in which I achieved an Honours grade in April 2024.

Making wine accessible and enjoyable was my main goal when deciding to launch my own business - fine wine has a reputation for being stuffy and prohibitively expensive. My aim is to give everyone access to knowledge about wine, to discover what they like (and don’t like!) in an open environment and to teach people that, no matter what your budget or your palate, there is a wine out there for you!
